We were introduced to stronghold Shepherd‘s after a third shepherd passed away it was difficult for us losing her she was a big part of her family,. We met someone who had a beautiful German Shepherd from strong hold and then another each more beautiful and made an appointment to meet with Penny Strong. Penny is a person who loves animals and is very it was very evident in her meeting she asked us about as many questions as we asked her. She told us that she tester shepherds for being companion, canine police. We wanted another female smaller than our previous girl that was 95 pounds and she thought I was some puppies that would fit the color and the size we wanted. We have a beautiful loving 75 pound female and couldn’t be happier. We board river with Penny when we go out of town. She is always excited and eager to go to the farm to play with all her friends. I would give Penny five stars.

First child
We can’t thank Stronghold German shepherds enough for not only our “first child” but the best family dogs we could ask for. Our first dog we got just shy of ten years ago and now with our growing family we couldn’t think of a better way than to add another just like him. Our kids have the best trusted companions, my husband the best work buddies, and myself the best first and fourth “children”. Their calm mannerisms, great temperament, and constant love have brought so much joy to our family. We couldn’t ask for better dogs

Elsa
She's doing really well! She is so smart and obedient. And she is so affectionate, she loves to snuggle! She's great with children and other dogs. She loves to play but is not hyper or high energy.... she's just right! She turned 18 months yesterday and weighs 82 pounds.

Working with Will and Penny have helped us with every step in raising Elsa. They taught us how to train, socialize, and she is a well adjusted dog. They are will to keep her for us when we go away and Elsa is always happy to go. Elsa has had two beautiful litters of puppies and was a pleasure to be apart of the process.

Protective, docile, courageous, loving, and forgiving is everything sought after for a family. We have been fortunate to have all those traits from the dogs we have from Penny and Will. Kilian
I cannot say enough positive things about Stronghold German Shepherds. I have Kilian who is going to be 6 years old in January and has been an amazing pup. Stronghold breeds pups that are healthy and great in temperament. My dog is great with people of all ages and has been since day one. He also has the perfect amount of drive for me to enjoy activities with him such as tracking environmental course work and Iron Dog but is just as happy hanging outside with me chilling. What impresses me even more is Penny and Will's devotion to their dogs. Once you purchase a pup they do not just drop the ball. They are there if you need help with diet issues, training or any health questions. And best of all they are not a breeder who has their dogs in kennels. Every Stronghold is brought up as part of the family in their home and enjoying the beautiful outdoors on their property. I highly recommend Stronghold and will purchase another pup from them when the time is right.

Hi Penny, wanted to share that the police were at my house last night checking in on a break in. They knew immediately when they saw Arlo That he was a Stronghold., Officer Tyler Jacobs said he got a male named Hudson from you. Just thought I would share. We love our dog Arlo.

Keira
Penny and Will are wonderful people and even better dog breeders. Penny cares deeply for each dog and every puppy that she has. Each puppy is loved and cared for. Penny helped me to pick out my perfect puppy, Keira, who is now my best friend. Keira has been my hiking and walking buddy for 8 years. She is a gentle dog who is watchful over my own 5 month old son. Penny has always been a huge support from Keira’s diet and training to boarding her while I was on vacations. We are so fortunate to have Keira and are forever grateful to Penny for her part in being a responsible and knowledgeable breeder.
